In the late 1930-Sri Narasimhaswamiji published a series of books on his Master Sri Sai Baba. However, he felt that people could get reasonably accurate idea about the real nature of a great saint like Sai Baba, only when they read and understand his sayings, rather than the chamatkars
or miracles performed by him.

No record was maintained by anybody to what all Baba spoke, except perhaps a diary maintained by G.S. Khaparde. So, it was a very arduous task for Sri Swamiji to gather all utterances of Sri Sai Baba. He made a valuable collection from the statements given by various contemporary devotees
(Devotees, Experiences of Sri Sai Baba) and compiled this treasure "Sri Sai Baba's Charters & Sayings."
